円運動と肌理 東京・恵比寿に位置する美容皮膚科クリニックの改修である。主にレーザー治療や医療アートメイクなどを広く扱い、治療室とカウンセリングルームを中心にした多くの室での分節とゆとりのある待合空間を求められた。既存建物が2つの構造軸を持つため、エントランスで複数の動線が多方向に感じられ、一目でアドレスがわかる平面を持つ。治療・カウンセリング機能とバック諸室を中心に集約し、一筆書きの廊下からのアクセスを可能としながら、隅角に円弧を持つシリンダー状のボリュームとした。だわんと垂れ下がるようにある間接照明の柔らかいフォルムで空間全体から独立して浮かんで見える。なるべく施術の不安感をやわらげるように、左官材による肌理を持つ仕上げを施した。施術後も円による有機的な運動が感じられることで人間的な温かみのなかで経験を締めくくる。30年を機にリニューアルを施し、今後の医院をさらに暖かく積み重ねられることを期待している。 This project involved the renovation of a cosmetic dermatology clinic located in Ebisu, Tokyo. The clinic primarily offers a wide range of services, including laser treatments and medical permanent makeup. The client requested a layout featuring well-defined zones—centered around treatment rooms and consultation rooms—along with a spacious waiting area. Since the existing building has two structural axes, the entrance features multiple circulation paths radiating in various directions, creating a floor plan where the clinic’s location is immediately apparent. We consolidated the treatment and counseling functions along with the back-of-house rooms into a cylindrical volume featuring curved corners, while ensuring access via a single, continuous corridor. The soft forms of the indirect lighting, which appear to hang down gently, make the volume seem to float independently from the surrounding space. To alleviate anxiety as much as possible during treatments, we applied a textured finish using plaster. Even after the treatment, the sense of organic movement created by the circular forms allows patients to conclude their experience surrounded by human warmth. We carried out this renovation to mark the clinic’s 30th anniversary and hope that it will serve as a foundation for building an even warmer clinic in the years to come.
